Hi everyone! I’ve been in Canada for a little while now and I’m finally ready to settle down financially — open an account, maybe start thinking about a mortgage. But honestly, I’m a bit lost when it comes to choosing a good credit union. There are so many names, and I don’t want to end up somewhere with poor service or hidden fees. Can someone recommend a solid, reliable place to bank with?

What made you choose your current credit union? For me, it was the lower interest rates on loans and the community focus. I found them much more approachable than a big bank. Anyone else found that a smaller institution offered them a better experience? Guess I should use those savings to buy a new phone and play Basket Random .
